Ms. Jo has an extensive experience, in Korea and abroad, in preparing and prosecuting patent applications dealing with pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, diagnostics, biologics, and new plant varieties. Her specific levels of expertise and knowledge include genetics, formulations, biochips, bioinformatics, fermentation, and microorganisms.
Ms. Jo has managed worldwide patent application portfolios for clients and has provided freedom-to-operate, invalidity, and patentability opinions related to Korean and foreign patents in the areas of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. Also, Ms. Jo has been very active in handling various patent litigation matters, including invalidity and infringement analysis, both in Korea and abroad. Ms. Jo has represented many large corporations during her career.
