Mr. Daesung Kim is a partner at ClassHankyul. Mr. Kim has over 30 years of litigation experience, including 20 years of judicial experience, with a focus on construction, real estate, intellectual property, and family law in the civil realm and property crimes, election crimes, sex crimes, etc., in the criminal realm, and has recently been involved in M&A, corporation sales (including derivative litigation), attracting investment, etc.

While serving as a judge, Mr. Kim was the Presiding Judge of the Dedicated Construction Department and the Dedicated Intellectual Property Department, and while serving as the Presiding Judge of the Dedicated Intellectual Property Department, became a graduate student at KAIST, eventually graduating with a Masters in Engineering. Mr. Kim is now handling patent cases for KEPCO, among other cases, while practicing laws as an attorney.
In addition, Mr. Kim has experience with election law as the chairman of the Election Management Committees of Seongju-gun, Jung-gu in Daegu, Yongsan-gu in Seoul, Jongro-gu, Seongnam-si, and Chuncheon-si during Mr. Kim’s tenure as a judge, and before returning as an attorney, also handled cases involving violations of the Public Official Election Act by heads of local government. Mr. Kim handles litigation and legal advice with respect to real estate development projects, city improvement projects, etc., and has published papers on tax research, employee’s investions, punishment of digital sex crimes, etc., while serving as a judge.
